| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8600 South Braeswood Boulevard about 6:40 p.m. last Friday (December 13).
The identity of the deceased male, believed to be in his 40s, is pending verification by the Harris County institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Wu and Officer D. Jones reported:
The male pedestrian failed to yield the right of way and was crossing South Braeswood Boulevard near the above address when he was struck by a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling westbound. The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. The driver, who was determined not to be impaired, was questioned and released, pending further investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
