Houston police have released surveillance video of suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 3721 Hage Street about 8:40 p.m. on December 7, 2023.
The suspects are described only as two unknown males. One was wearing a dark hoodie, light-colored sweat pants and black shoes. The other suspect was wearing a dark beanie, a blue Dallas Cowboys jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes. He was carrying what appeared to be a red bag or gas can.
Surveillance video of the suspects is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Ernesto “Joe” Vidaurri, 45.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Vaughn and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers were dispatched to a robbery call at the residence at the above address and located an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds inside the home. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Vidaurri, deceased.
Vidaurri lived at the home and was also known by his nickname of “Sumo.”
Detectives learned a bright blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, also seen in the surveillance video, was seen fleeing the residence after the shots were heard.
