Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a man at 3850 Wilcrest Drive about 1:40 p.m. on November 24.
The person of interest is identified as Zavion Joshua Pabon, 18. A June 2023 booking photo of Pabon, who is not charged, is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and were informed the victim had suffered a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on November 28.
Further investigation identified Pabon as a person of interest. Detectives would like to speak with him about any information he has on the incident.
