Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 16000 John F. Kennedy Boulevard about 12:50 a.m. on Saturday (November 23).
The identity of the deceased male, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer R. Guzman reported:
The male, a pedestrian, was walking in the roadway near the above address. At the same time, a white BMW 320 was traveling northbound when its driver saw an object in the road and swerved to the left to avoid hitting it, but struck the pedestrian. The driver continued to travel northbound, but later returned to the scene. He was questioned and released pending further investigation.
A preliminary investigation indicated other vehicles also struck the pedestrian, but none of the drivers remained at or returned to the scene. Houston Fire Department responded and pronounced the male deceased.
