HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer J. Johnson reported:

The victim was one of two passengers in a gray Honda Accord traveling at a high rate of speed northbound near the above address, when the driver changed lanes.  The Honda then struck a curb on the right side, drove off the sidewalk and struck a tree.

The victim was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.  The female driver, identified as Contreras, and female front seat passenger, 29, were transported to an area hospital in stable conditions.
