Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 7507 Long Point Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a female and wounding of a man at 7507 Long Point Road about 7:40 a.m. on Thursday (October 31).

The suspect, Felipe Diaz Marin, 39, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 482nd State District Court.  A booking photo of Marin is attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective C. Bowling reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a cutting call at the above address and found an adult female and adult male with stab wounds.  The female victim was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.  The male, 73, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  A possible suspect was detained at the scene.

Further investigation identified Marin as the suspect in this case.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Marin was subsequently charged.  Marin was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
