Two Suspects Arrested, Another Sought in August Shooting at 3318 Askew Street

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the shooting of a man at 3318 Askew Street about 1:10 a.m. on August 17.

The suspects, Dioneth Alvarez, 20, and Irineo Roman, 35, are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping in the 178th and 232nd  State District Courts, respectively.

A third male suspect, a juvenile, 14, charged with aggravated kidnapping, remains at large.

The victim, 43, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant R. Figueroa and Detective T. Macuga reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a home invasion call at a residence at the above address and found three males involved in an altercation inside.  One of the males had suffered a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to the hospital.  The other two males, father and son, sustained minor injuries.

Further investigation determined the juvenile and one of the males, Roman, were suspects in the assault and kidnapping of the victim.  Alvarez was identified as a third suspect involved.  The Harris County District attorney’s Office was contacted and all three were charged for their roles in this incident.  Roman and Alvarez are in custody, while the juvenile suspect remains at large.
