House Fire in The Central Northwest Area

WHAT: House fire.

WHEN: October 3, 2024, at 10:24 p.m.

WHERE: 3800 block of Antoine Dr. 77092.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

PROPERTY SAVED: $455,000 in estimated property saved.

DAMAGE: $95,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: Unintentional (unattended equipment).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a small 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire which was located on the patio between garage and home. The ceiling was pulled to check for extension and a primary search was completed. A dog was found in a kennel and safely removed. Once the fire was fully extinguished, a fan was used to clear the smoke. The homeowner had been smoking food on a barbeque pit which led to the fire. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 4, 5, 13, 38, 50 and 30.
