Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a woman at 6885 Southwest Freeway (South U.S.Highway 59) service road about 7 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 20).
The identity of the female, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and M. Althaus reported:
Officers were initially dispatched to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital on reports a female was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle after she was found shot at a hotel at the above address.
Doctors pronounced the woman deceased at the hospital.
At this time, the circumstances in the shooting are unknown. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the woman’s manner and cause of death.
