Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 12303 Hillcroft Avenue about 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 1.
The suspect, Imran Ahmed Davis, 27, is charged with murder and aggravated assault in the 337th State District Court. A 2020 booking photo of Davis, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Bradric Kuykendall, 32.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Watson and M. Burrow reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call in a gas station parking lot at the above address and found a male with apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the man, later identified as Mr. Kuykendall, to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators learned Kuykendall and the suspect were involved in an altercation at a nearby location. The suspect then followed Kuykendall and individuals with him to the gas station at the above address, fired multiple shots and fled the scene.
Further investigation identified Davis as the suspect and, on Tuesday (Oct 15), he was charged for his role in the shooting.
