Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6362 Windswept Lane about 12:25 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 12).
The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a strip center parking lot at the above address and found a man unresponsive with several gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim got into an argument with another male regarding a minor vehicle crash. The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male, fled the scene.
