WHAT: Apartment fire with civilian fatality.
WHEN: September 29, 2024, at 11:56 a.m.
WHERE: 3260 Truxillo St. 77004.
INJURIES: One civilian fatality.

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find no visible signs of fire or smoke of a reported apartment fire. During their investigation, crews found an extinguished fire in a unit and removed one victim. The individual was placed in an ambulance and sadly, passed away. The Medical Examiner was notified and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 25, 16, 8, 46, 7, 18, 17, 37 and 24.
