Persons of Interest Sought in August Fatal Shooting at 4706 Griggs Road

Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating two persons of interest sought in the fatal shooting of a man at 4706 Griggs Road about 3 a.m. on August 18.

The persons of interest are described as two dark-skinned black males sin their mid-20s.  One had golden locks and a mustache and the other wore red jogging pants and a white hoodie.  They were last seen in a gray Hyundai Sonata with Florida license plates 18BWDK.

Surveillance photos of the persons of interest, who are not charged, and a photo of a vehicle similar to the sought vehicle are attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Christopher Cobb, 35.

HPD Homicide Division Detective G. Rangel reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and learned a man had been shot multiple times by an unknown suspect(s).  The suspect(s) then stole a gray 2019 Hyundai Sonata sedan the victim was driving.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Cobb, to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced him deceased on September 3.

Further investigation developed information on two persons of interest, pictured below.  Homicide detectives want to speak to them.
