Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7418 Northline Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7418 Northline Drive about 8:45 p.m. on Monday (September 16).

The suspect, Bradley Jafed Cantarero-Flores, 17, is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.  A booking photo of Cantarero-Flores is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound lying on the sidewalk.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

A witness identified Cantarero-Flores as a person of interest in this incident.  He was found on the property and detained for further questioning.

Further investigation and statements from Cantarero-Flores identified him as the shooter in this case.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Cantarero-Flores was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
