CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a restaurant and located a small fire in the attic. They made an offensive attack and used fans to ventilate the structure. The crews extinguished the fire and contained it to above the kitchen and HVAC duct work with smoke and water damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the restaurant. The Health Department was notified. 39 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 10, 68, 83, 76 and 9.
