WHEN: August 30, 2024, at 6:28 a.m.
WHERE: 2000 block of Peppermill Rd. 77080.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed with the home appearing to be vacant. They extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 5, 2, 4, 49, 50, 77, 38 and 57.
