WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: August 29, 2024, at 7:08 p.m.
WHERE: 4400 block of Tilson Ln. 77041.
INJURIES: One cat rescued, one deceased cat found.
PROPERTY SAVED: $170,000 in estimated damage.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a house on fire. There was a report of pets trapped inside and crews found two cats, one of which had perished. The primary search could not be completed due to worsening conditions and firefighters switched to a defensive attack. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 54 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 38, 2, 4, 5, 13, 49, 50, 77, 66, 60, 57 and Rehab 8.
