WHAT: House fire with fatality.
WHEN: August 21, 2024, at 3:19 p.m.
WHERE: 4500 block of Robertson St. 77009.
INJURIES: One civilian was transported to the hospital where she passed away.
PROPERTY SAVED: $207,500 in estimated property/contents saved.
DAMAGE: $57,500 in estimated property/contents damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a house on fire with a report of a trapped victim. They found the victim inside and quickly took her to waiting HFD EMS crews for patient care and transport to the hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away at the hospital. Firefighters made an attack on the fire and ensured there was no one else inside the home. The fire was controlled and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 48 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 34, 30, 15, 19, 9, 12, 39, 72, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rehab 17.
