WHERE: 9600 block of Cook Rd. 77099.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $140,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $260,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire and smoke coming from a 1-story house with the fire contained to the garage area. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the roof. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. The fire appeared to have originated from a vehicle parked in the garage. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 73, 68, 83, 10, 75, 76, 82, 24 and 57.
