WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 16, 2024, at 11:46 a.m.
WHERE: 3400 block of Russell St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a 2-story house and cut the front gate for access. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the house. CenterPoint was notified to secure the power that had been restored while the residents were gone. The crews extinguished the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 19, 34, 27 and 30.
