WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 12, 2024, at 7:07 p.m.
WHERE: 10400 block of Bainbridge St. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (mechanical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from the side of a 1-story house. They reset the fire and made entry to extinguish the fire inside the home. A primary search was completed, and the roof was ventilated. It appeared the fire originated near or around the area where a generator, barbeque pit and other household items were located. The fire then spread to the exterior wall of the house and into the structure. 31 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 34, 45, 32, 43 and 56.
