WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 9, 2024, at 12:32 p.m.
WHERE: 1800 block of Reseda Dr. 77062.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $184,400 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental due to an electrical malfunction in a multitap plug adaptor.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted, and the utilities were secured. The crews quickly contained and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 36 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 4, 93, 70, 71, 72, 94 and the Webster Fire and Police Department.
