UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman’s Death at 300 Sunnyside Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman found at 300 Sunnyside Street about 4:35 p.m. last Thursday (August 15).

The suspect, Robert Lin Howard, 35, is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court.  A booking photo of Howard is attached to this news release.

The identity of the woman, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call regarding a possible domestic disturbance at an apartment at the above address.  Officers  found an unresponsive woman inside an apartment and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman deceased.

At that time the suspect was described only as a white male, 30 to 40 years of age.

Further investigation identified Howard as the suspect in this case.  Howard provided a statement to detectives admitting his role in Lee’s death and he was subsequently charged.  Howard was booked into the Harris County Jail.
