ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a vacant 1-story house and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and crews pulled the ceiling. CenterPoint was requested to secure the utilities. Crews extinguished the fire and ensured all hot spots were fully out. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 36 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 19, 20, 9, 12, 27, 34, 24 and Rescue 42.
