Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6402 Mykawa Road about 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday (July 17).
The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. May and C. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene determined the man was an employee working inside the store at the location. Two male suspects wearing hoods and masks, one of them armed with a handgun, entered the store to commit a robbery. During the robbery, the man was shot and killed. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. They are described only as two black males.
