Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6700 Cours Street about 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday (June 18).
The identity of the victim, 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Burrow, R. Watson and Detectives M. Perez and J. Diaz reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of an auto-pedestrian crash at the intersection of Cours Street and Lynnfield Street and found an unresponsive man lying in the roadway. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined the man had not been struck by a vehicle but had been shot at least one time.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
