Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5908 Gulfton Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of two others at 5908 Gulfton Street about 2:40 a.m. today (June 3).

The identity of the deceased victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a business at the above address and founded an unresponsive male. He had sustained a gunshot wound and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers learned two other males, 32 and 29, also suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals by private vehicles. Both males are in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation determined the suspect is an unknown Hispanic male between 30 to 40 years of age, wearing a green sport jersey with large yellow numbers reading “34” on the front. He fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
