Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a woman at 11005 Scott Street about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday (May 7).
The male suspect, Anthony Hamm, 64, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 208th State District Court. A booking photo of Hamm is not available for release at this time, as he remains hospitalized.
The woman, 41, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective S. De La Cruz reported:
HPD Southeast Patrol Division officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She stated that her ex-husband, Hamm, came to her apartment and shot her.
Hamm was located a short time later. He was suffering from a medical emergency when officers arrived on scene and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Hamm was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
