Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12600 Furman Road about 11:05 p.m. last Friday (May 3).
The identity of the deceased female, 56, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer J. Trevino reported:
The female was driving a blue BMW 428i southbound at the above address when she lost control of the vehicle, drifted into the opposing lane, veered off the road and landed in a ditch. Paramedics transported the driver to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Two juvenile passengers, a male, 6, and a female, 12, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is continuing. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
