CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a smoke-filled unoccupied apartment unit with a small fire in the kitchen. They extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher. It originated from an electrical outlet with damage to the stove/oven and smoke damage throughout the unit. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 78, 83, 57, 75, 76, 69 and 86.
