| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 Meadows Street about 2 a.m. today (April 3).
The identity of the deceased male, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Campbell reported:
The male was operating a black Kawasaki motorcycle northbound onto the ramp from the East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) connector ramp to the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59).
Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle failed to stay in a single lane, struck a concrete barrier and went off the ramp, landing on the ground below.
Family members located the male after the crash. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
