| Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 8400 Kayson Street about 4:40 a.m. today (April 2).
The identity of the deceased male, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Leon reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to the above address after a witness called to report a motorcycle laying on the ground with a person lying next to it. The male was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Doctors later pronounced him deceased.
At this time, investigators believe due to the damage to the motorcycle and close proximity to the intersection of Hempstead Highway and Sowden Road, the motorcycle was possibly struck and the driver of a vehicle of unknown make or model fled the scene without providing assistance.
