| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9001 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 11:20 p.m. on Saturday (February 10).
The identity of the deceased female, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer L. Fenoglio reported:
The female was lying in the roadway at the above address when she was struck by a black Honda Accord traveling southbound on the service road. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
The male driver, 53, of the Honda remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was released.
The investigation is continuing.
