WHAT: 2-alarm house fire.
WHEN: January 23, 2024, at 10:38 p.m.
WHERE: 3400 block of Inwood Dr. 77019.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $10,000,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming from a house which was under renovation and made a defensive attack. A second alarm was requested, and a tower unit was set up in the front driveway to help control the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 93 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 11, 16, 2, 6, 8, 21, 28, 3, 7, 33, 62, 18, 37, 30, 57, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rescue 17.
