WHAT: Water rescue.
WHEN: January 1, 2024 at 5:15 a.m.
WHERE: 1 Transco One Dr. 77056.
INJURIES: One civilian treated on scene.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find two vehicles stalled in water with an adult who could not safely exit his vehicle, due to water up to the windows. The crew of Ladder 28 used their aerial ladder to assist the individual out of his car while wearing a personal flotation device. Once safely rescued, HFD EMS evaluated and treated the individual on scene. 23 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 5, 28, 33 and 60.
