UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in September Fatal Shooting at 3309 Reeves Street

A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3309 Reeves Street about 3:30 p.m. on September 20 is in custody.

The suspect, Caleb Solomon, 20, is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court.  A booking photo of Solomon is attached to this news release.

The victim has been identified as Vincent Curenton, 27.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ledford, E. Torres and M. Barton reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim, later identified as Mr. Curenton, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation and witness statements identified Solomon as the suspect in this case.  After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, a murder charge was filed.

Subsequent investigation determined Solomon’s whereabouts.  On Monday (November 20), Solomon was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
