Surveillance Photos of Suspect Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 3130 Alabama Street

Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 3130 Alabama Street about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 16).

The suspect, known only by an alias of “Keon,” is described as a young black male with dreadlocks.  He was wearing a New York Yankees sweater/sweatshirt, black shorts, black tennis shoes and was carrying a light blue backpack.  Three surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The other victim, 32, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Caten reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and located two male victims with gunshot wounds.  The victims were transported to an area hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased.  The other victim was treated for non-life-threatening wounds.

Detectives learned the shooting occurred during an altercation.  The suspect then ran from the scene.
