WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: October 11, 2023, at 3:16 p.m.
WHERE: 12200 block of Palmbeach St. 77034.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $22,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire in the garage area of a 1-story house. They conducted a primary search and extinguished the fire. The home was checked for extension and ventilated. HFD Arson investigators determined that the cause of the fire was likely electrical from ATV parked in garage. Crews conducted salvage and overhaul and the owner was advised to have an electrician check the home prior to turning the power back on. 33 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 52, 70 and 93.
