Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men at 1855 Barker Cypress Road about 10:10 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 5).
The identities of the victims, in their 20s, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Castillo and J. Diaz reported: Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 1800 block of Barker Cypress Road and determined the incident occurred in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address. Officers located one victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased. A witness provided a vehicle description and direction of travel. A short time later, officers learned a vehicle matching the description of the one fleeing the scene arrived at an entrance to an area hospital. One or more individuals in the vehicle dropped off a male with multiple gunshot wounds and then fled in the vehicle. Medical personnel at the hospital pronounced the male deceased. Detectives believe the deceased males were struck during an exchange of gunfire. At this time, suspect descriptions, a motive and circumstances of the shooting are unknown.
