ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the first floor of a 2-story apartment building and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were controlled. The crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the building with fans. The fire had been contained to the apartment of origin with the cause cooking related. A nearby unit suffered from water damage. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. 41 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 78, 83, 10, 57, 69, 75 and 76.
