INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $140,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a second story apartment. They found and extinguished a fire involving the stove, microwave, and some of the cabinets. A primary search was completed, and a fan was used to remove the smoke. There was no fire extension found and crews removed the range and microwave from the unit. 36 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 21, 46, 33, 37, 24 and 31.
