WHAT: Mobile home fire with deceased resident found inside.
WHEN: September 19, 2023, at 2:35 a.m.
WHERE: 5700 block of Yale St. 77076.
INJURIES: One deceased resident and one deceased dog.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived within five minutes to find a porch on the side of a small mobile travel trailer completely involved on fire. They made an offensive attack on the fire which blocked the only egress from the home. A primary search was made inside where an adult male and a deceased dog were found. Crews removed the individual to EMS crews who determined he was deceased. The fire was fully extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The Medical Examiner and the Houston Police Department were also requested. 33 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 31, 34, 15, 58, 67 and 30.
