WHAT: Warehouse fire.
WHEN: September 8, 2023, at 7:10 p.m.

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within a minute to find light smoke coming from a warehouse that manufactured wooden pallets. They located several fires on the exterior and extinguished them. A primary search was completed, and crews extinguished another area of trees, brush, grass, and trash between the warehouse and another building. Upon entering the structure, the smoke conditions worsened, and the roof was ventilated. Once the fire was fully controlled and extinguished, HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Both owners were advised to have an electrician inspect their buildings and make repairs before turning the power back on. 41 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 35, 23, 26, 46, 26, 24, Hazmat 22 and Rehab 17.
