WHAT:Apartment fire.
WHEN: July 18, 2023, at 9:12 p.m.
WHERE: 4831 Gulf Freeway, 77023.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $225,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $95,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire coming from the first floor of a 2-story apartment building and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed of the first and second floors. Crews extinguished the fire that had traveled from the exterior of the building into the attic. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The Houston Police Department was notified for traffic control. 36 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 18, 25, 40, 24 and Rescue 42.
