WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: June 26, 2023 at 12:25 a.m.
WHERE: 9000 block of Dandy St. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire and smoke coming from a newly renovated and vacant 1-story house and made an attack on the fire after cutting a chain on the front gate. They quickly extinguished the fire and conducted a primary search. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 23, 34, 45, 32, 39 and 56.
