Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 2200 Teague Road about 6:35 p.m. on Sunday (July 2).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Brooks and J. Gardner reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in a field at the above address and located the victim, who suffered at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. Investigators learned a male chased the victim and shot him as he ran away. The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, fled the scene. At this time, there is no known motive in the shooting.
