| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11501 U.S. Highway 90 about 10:15 p.m. on Monday (June 26).
The identity of the deceased male victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer T. Syed reported:
The victim was a passenger in a maroon Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck traveling southbound near the above address. A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene indicated the pickup truck appeared to have been struck by a gray Chevrolet Equinox, also traveling southbound. The impact caused the pickup truck to veer off the road, strike a median pillar and continue off the roadway to a grassy area.
Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The female driver, 47, of the Chevrolet and the male driver, 23, of the Dodge, were transported to area hospitals.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
