Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 402 North Adams Street about 6:35 p.m. on Sunday (June 18).
The identity of the deceased male, 66, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer F. Serna reported: The male was driving a black Ford Ranger XLT pickup truck and backing up in an enclosed business parking lot at the above address when he struck a closed gate, forcing the gate off its track. The gate and the vehicle sustained minor damage. The driver’s co-worker arrived at the location, noticed the gate was damaged and went to check on the driver. The co-worker found the driver’s side door open and the male was unresponsive and halfway out of the vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased. His cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
