Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 8300 Cullen Boulevard about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday (June 15).
The suspect Timothy Jeroy Grims, 42, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court. A photo of Grims, who is in custody in the hospital, is attached to this news release.
HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detectives Q. Nguyen and M. Deleon reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at a bus stop at the above address and saw the male victim, 47, with a knife in his hand and Grims suffering from multiple stab wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Grims to a local hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses told officers Grims was acting aggressively and armed with a knife. Further investigation revealed he was stabbed during a physical confrontation with the male victim, who suffered minor lacerations.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted, and Grims was charged for his role in the incident.
