| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5600 Fairdale Street about 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday (June 13).
The identity of victim, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ledford and E. Torres reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined a large crowd of people were attending a pool party when an argument ensued between two unknown persons. Both individuals exchanged gunfire and the male was struck in the crossfire. The male attempted to run from the scene, but collapsed and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
